The first thing that came to my mind when I thought of writing about the Birdsong Kickstarter was “Tommy Pico and the crew at Birdsong make me feel like a lazy piece of shit”, so I’m just gonna go ahead and type that. These kids are crazy awesome productive. In five years, they’ve made…
Tommy Pico is working on a 5 year retrospective magazine, featuring years of literary work and visual art from Birdsong’s huge roster of contributers. His kickstarter rewards are priced really fairly, and there is a ton of cool bonus stuff. I’m happy for him, and happy to be a backer! Go check it out and watch the video, it’s hard not to feel like a part of the whole thing.
Plus you can come meet Tommy at the Brooklyn Zine fest on the 21st! I will be right there next to him to help diffuse the stress of meeting someone so awesome.
