Tired of my antics and just want to keep up with my work? I understand and that's O-K!
I woke up at 6:15am so I could catch Jeffrey D. Gerson as the sun came up in his hotel room this morning. Jeffrey is on the Community team at instagram, so he’s always traveling around and meeting creative people. He shot some film portraits, snapped an instagram, and then I dragged him to the photobooth in the lobby so I could keep the scraps.
So what does a pro instagrammer do with all their film photos? Uhh, put them on tumblr, duh. He’s still new, so go check him out! (Some posts are NSFW, this is art you guys).
Adam and I co-hosted a Brooklyn to Baltimore holiday Skype party last night.
The party last night was really great and lovely and we somehow pulled it off better than I expected, but the part that really killed me was talking to all of my old roommates and all of my close friends via skype all night during our concurrent parties.
Getting texts to “let me in” alongside texts like “hey come back to the computer because ______ just showed up!” was so perfect. If the world had ended, that would have been how I wanted to go.
Megs Senk is a really good person who I met when we both made it to the final application round of the WK12 program last September. Like many of the best people in my life, I did not particularly like her at first. But, we bonded by the end of it all and have been friends since.
Today, after a year in the 12 program, she’s a new hire at W+K (congratulations some more!!!!!), her Emergency Compliment project has blown up (good thing I got her into my planner before NPR got to her), and I even recently lent her my handwriting for her Dry Socks vending machines.
Anyway I am friend-bragging right now because she is a really good person who actually inspired me greatly when we first met, and I am very proud of her and look forward to hanging out and complaining about stuff.
