1 Page at a Time: A Daily Creative Companion, is 365 pages of activities and prompts to help you make it through the year. It’s full of the stupid, occasionally dark humor that you’re used to seeing from me, plus a lot of small, personal surprises.
While I was working on the book last year, my grandmother, who had been battling Lou Gehrig’s disease, passed away. Blanche was always laughing a little too loudly, taking photos of everything, teaching and traveling. She loved small treats and gift shops and cards, and saving scraps and notes for future storytelling. She made friends everywhere she went. I attribute a lot of my personal values to her.
It means so much to me to be able to take everything I value, saving and making and appreciating the small stuff, dumb jokes and friendships and maybe a nap, and put it in one place. Things really just are what you make of them!
